Museum of the City of Łódź
Łódź – called the city of four cultures, is one of the most visited historic cities in Poland. It is a city with a short but complex and fascinating history. Today, the urban population mostly consists of residents of Polish origin; however, the city's history is the work of representatives of four nations: Polish, Jewish, German, and Russian.
In the 19th century, Łódź was known for its dominant textile industry, and today, after many transformations, the factory brick once again captivates with its deep red color, Piotrkowska Street attracts with beautifully restored tenement houses and an extraordinary variety of restaurants and pubs.
