Discover the history
of Good Time Aparthotel
We invite you to the Good Time Aparthotel, which consists of three sister apartment buildings located at Piotrkowska 120: Good Time Aparthotel, Good Time Residence, and Good Time Loft, as well as Apartments at Piotrkowska 82. They are situated in a unique location, in characteristic tenement houses of Łódź with an inner courtyard, on the famous and historic Piotrkowska Street.
Let us travel together to the good times when in the 19th century, during the period of "Łódź the Craftsmen's Town," development along the longest Polish street – Piotrkowska in Łódź – flourished. On rectangular plots, typical Łódź "wells" were built, which are properties where the inner courtyard is surrounded by buildings, and the entrance is possible through a gate pierced through the front tenement house.
Good Time Aparthotel
It was customary that the front tenement house was built with the intention of being inhabited by a wealthy property owner, manufacturer, or a representative of the elite, and therefore it was richly decorated with stained glass, curved handrails on staircases, ornate handles, and marble stairs.
The buildings inside the courtyard were usually intended for workers, tenants, small craftsmen, boarding students, so these buildings were modest, with exposed brick, narrow wooden stairs, often dating back to before the "Craftsmen's Łódź" period.
You will find such a history of the city in our Aparthotel. All buildings in our complex are served by one Reception open 24/7, sharing a common, atmospheric lobby with comfortable sofas and the tempting aroma of freshly ground coffee, which we offer to our Guests non-stop.
Each of the buildings shows a different part of the city's history, but each is inextricably linked to the good times for Łódź – the city's development at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
Good Time Aparthotel
Located within red brick interiors preserved from the good times of 19th-century Łódź, when this place housed workers' apartments and craft workshops.
With its architecture (including exposed, raw brick and originally preserved wooden stairs) and interior design, as well as details (heavy brass keys, a historic telephone exchange, old lamps, cuckoo clocks, and others), the building reflects the old history of Łódź.
It is said that the spirit of the Old Locksmith watches over the good atmosphere of our interiors, although no one has seen him yet. The interiors cross-sectionally show how the structure and architecture of Łódź developed, the buildings emerging there (factories, palaces, workers' houses, streets, and parks), the developing industry, and the social strata of Łódź.
Despite the harshness of past times, the studios and apartments are arranged cozily, and their furnishings provide everything necessary and convey a high level of comfort during your stay.
Good Time Residence
Some of them offer a beautiful view of Piotrkowska Street. Łódź is one of the few European cities where the city center alone has as many as 4000 tenement houses, many of which are richly adorned and officially called palaces, residences, and villas. Such cultural heritage definitely deserves attention.
We want to bring it closer to our Guests by introducing symbols and details of palace Łódź into the interior design, referring to the splendor and luxury of Łódź, while recreating the warm and intimate atmosphere of a tenement house where Guests will feel at home.
In the studios and apartments, you can relax with a coffee on palace-style "Louis" lounges, looking at the beautifully decorated facades of the tenement houses.
Good Time Loft
Studios preserved in vintage style, located in the attic of our tenement house. The atmosphere is created here by wallpapers on the walls, made from original Łódź newspapers, retrieved from 19th/20th century archives: Goniec Łódzki 1898-1906, Dziennik Łódzki 1884-1892, Kurier Łódzki 1906-1911, as well as graphics showing old Łódź advertisements with contents no longer seen today from sections: “Łódź Chronicle,” “Trade Courier,” “From the Court,” “Telegrams” and others.
We encourage you to "get lost in reading" about Łódź from years past.
The combination of modernity with 19th-century industrial architecture is reflected in the raw details and modernist adaptation of the attic, ensuring high comfort during your stay. The cozy atmosphere allows not only for true relaxation in the heart of vibrant Łódź, but also inspiring conditions for work.
